New Delhi: In the Muzaffarpur girl child sexual abuse case, 19 accused including the main accused Brajesh Thakur can be sentenced today. On 21 January, the Saket court convicted 19 people, including Brajesh Thakur, for sexual exploitation and physical harassment of girls. The Additional Sessions Judge based in Saket has held Brajesh Thakur guilty of gangrape under the POSCO Act. He had fixed the date of January 28 for sentencing the culprits.

On that day, the convicts could not be sentenced because of the sitting of the judge. After this, the court deferred hearing till February 4. Today there will be a debate on how much punishment should be given to the culprits, after which the court will pronounce the sentence. The court noted that Brijesh Thakur, Superintendent of Girls Shelter home Indu Kumari, Head Meenu Devi, Counselor Manju Devi, Head in-charge Chanda Devi, Neha Kumari of Nurses, Case Worker Hema Christ are convicted under 120 B.

The court also assisted Kiran Kumari, Ravi Kumar Roshan, CWC member Vikas Kumar, CWC President Dilip Kumar, Brajesh's driver Vijay Tiwari, Guddu Patel, Krishna Ram, Rosie Rani, Ramanuj Thakur, Ramashankar Singh, Dr. Ashwini, Saista Parveen are also blamed.
