New Delhi: Employees of all three municipal corporations in Delhi have made a big announcement before Diwali. They have not received salary for the first three months because of this, they will be on strike from tomorrow. A three-hour meeting between the mayors and unions officials was held on Saturday at the civic headquarters Civic Center on this matter. During that time there was no mutual agreement in the meeting, due to which the unions declared a strike in all the three corporations and said that all employees and pensioners need full wages simultaneously.

According to the information received recently, on Saturday, the mayors of the three corporations, Jayaprakash, Nirmal Jain and Anamika had reached the civic center. Apart from this, others including the corporators of the three corporations and union officials of the three corporations also went to the Civic Center at two in the afternoon. During this time, Zulfikar, Delhi Pradesh President of All Delhi Municipal Corporation Employees Indian Public Interest Front, Mukesh Vaidya, Supervisor Sanitation Union, AP Khan and teachers unions on behalf of Confederation raised the issue of salary with the Mayor and the Corporators. Union leaders questioned whether he wanted to get black diwali of the employees. Responding to this, Mayor Jayaprakash said that it is not so. Before Deepawali, efforts are being made to give maximum salary to the corporation employees.

He further said that no money has been received in the development work during the Corona period. Most of the money has been released to Corona and corporation employees only. Now the mayors demanded time till 30 November from the office-bearers of the unions. He says that his stalled salary should be released by the first week of December. After knowing this, the anger of the employees has flared up and he will sit on strike from 9 November.
