In the Delhi Assembly elections 2020, BJP has gone ahead in Ballimaran seat. BJP candidate Lata Sodhi continues to lead. BJP candidates for this assembly seat are Lata Sodhi, AAP's Imran Hussain and Congress's Aaron Yusuf. The main contest is between them. Talking about the entire 70 seats of Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party seems to be getting majority. AAP is leading on more than 50 seats. Four wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi fall in this area. This area is famous all over the country for its delicious flavors, footwear and glasses market. Memories of Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib are also associated with this region. They belong to Ballimaran in this region. His name's Ghalib Haveli is still present here.
