New Delhi: Parts of the country's capital were hit with rain on Saturday morning. According to the MET department, the weather will remain pleasant as the rain continues throughout the day in Delhi today. The minimum temperature in Delhi can go up to 25 degrees and the maximum temperature can go up to 33 degrees. Earlier on Friday, most parts of Delhi continued to be cloudy throughout the day.
Moderate to light rain was seen in different areas during the day. This did not lead to an increase in the maximum temperature. Safdarjung observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 32.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.2 degrees Celsius, which is also two degrees below normal. The humidity level here ranged from 95 to 75 per cent. Ayanagar recorded the highest rainfall of 29.5 mm.
The MET department has predicted that this spell of light rain will continue for the next two-three days. On Saturday, the wind speed is likely to be up to 16 kilometres per hour and the temperature is likely to be between 35 and 25 degrees Celsius. At the same time, due to monsoon winds and rain, the air of Delhi continues to remain clean. According to the CPCB, the average air quality index on Friday stood at the mark of 71. The air at this level is placed in the satisfactory range.
