Dehradun: Satpal Maharaj, once again a senior cabinet minister in the Uttarakhand government, has demanded the right to write the CR of IAS officers with the ministers. Talking to reporters, Satpal Maharaj said that he has appealed to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami in the first cabinet meeting that such IAS officers whose departments include secretary and additional secretary level officers should be entitled to write a confidential report of those officers.
Satpal Maharaj, the same cabinet minister, says that other ministers should also bring the matter before the government. According to Maharaj, this will bring discipline. After this statement of the Minister, there is a commotion in the bureaucracy. Satpal Maharaj has already made this demand. He said that this kind of system is there in other states. This system was there during the ND Tiwari government in Uttarakhand but it was later discontinued. It should be started again.
Cabinet Ministers Saurabh Bahuguna and Prem Chand Agarwal also supported their demand and termed the arrangement as necessary. He said that in the first Cabinet, the issue has been placed before the CM. He will take an appropriate decision in this regard. The reason behind this is believed to be more transparency in work and control of bureaucracy.
