New Delhi: The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Central government on a plea seeking construction of a 'Judicial Vista' around the Supreme Court on the lines of the Central Vista. Issuing the notice, the top court asked the central government to respond by March 30.

In fact, a petition has been filed on behalf of the top court's lawyer Ardhendu Mauli Prasad seeking a judicial vista. The petition said that the way cases are increasing in the Supreme Court, people are also increasing according to the same, in such a situation, more space is needed. The petition said that the space for judges, lawyers and litigants in the top court has now started to diminish. Therefore, all arrangements are required including a multi-level courtroom, multi-level advocate chamber, underground parking.

The PIL has sought that the government should set up an independent tribunal for the project at the expense of the government i.e. the consolated fund and under the supervision of this, a judicial complex is to be developed. The petition has demanded that a judicial vista should be built on the lines of parliament building around the Supreme Court so that people do not face any kind of problem in the coming time.
