New Delhi: Expressing displeasure over the repeated filing of petitions by thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar, the Supreme Court said that if the litigant can bear the expenses, it does not mean that he can file many petitions in the court. Let us tell you that Sukesh Chandrasekhar and his wife are in jail for alleged money laundering and cheating many people. Two petitions of Sukesh and his wife Leena Paulose were listed before the Supreme Court on Monday, in one of which they sought to be shifted anywhere from Mandoli Jail in Delhi, claiming a threat to their lives.

Sukesh's lawyer told the court that Sukesh was attacked in jail and he is ready to go to any other jail in the country including Andaman and Nicobar. A bench of Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice CT Ravikumar sought a response from the Center and the Delhi government on the petition within a week. However, the court turned down the second plea of Sukesh and his wife, seeking an hour's meeting with their lawyers every day and the concession of making an application to the jail authorities.

Explain that, on August 23, the apex court had ordered that Sukesh and his wife be shifted from Tihar Jail to Delhi's Mandoli Jail. The Supreme Court passed the order on a petition filed by the couple, alleging a threat to their lives and urging them to be shifted to a jail outside Delhi. In the fresh petition, Sukesh and his wife, through their advocate Ashok K Singh, claimed that Sukesh was assaulted in Mandoli jail.

He has claimed that it is clear from his medical records that he is facing threat to his life here in jail. The court asked Singh, 'What is this? Your client is filing petitions every month. Last month, we rejected his petition and now he has filed again. We cannot consider it.'
