Delhi: The second wave of corona engulfed many people. During this time, many people died of lack of oxygen. Meanwhile, Delhi also lacked oxygen leading to the death of patients. Let me tell you that the Delhi Government had sent a file to LG Anil Baijal to look into the matter but it has been rejected by the LG. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has now made his statement.

Recently, he said, "Lt Governor Anil Baijal has again rejected the Delhi government's proposal to set up a panel to probe deaths due to lack of oxygen in the national capital.'' Sources in the Lieutenant Governor's Office have termed the deputy chief minister's statement as "misleading" and said, "A high-level committee has already been constituted to look into the matter.''

Sisodia, the nodal officer for covid-19 management in Delhi, recently attended the online press conference. In the meantime, he said, "No one can deny that Delhi faced an oxygen crisis during the second wave of Covid-19 in April and May, nor can there be any denying that people died due to lack of oxygen in the national capital.''

He also said, "We had again sent a file to set up a panel to investigate the deaths due to lack of oxygen. The Lieutenant Governor is saying that there is no need for it.'' On the one hand, the Centre is asking the States how many people died due to lack of oxygen and on the other hand, you are not allowing us to investigate such deaths. Sisodia asked how the states would be able to give information in such a situation.

Moreover, he said, "That is, the Centre wants us to give in writing that there has been no death due to lack of oxygen. It would be a big lie. It will be a cruel joke with families who lose their loved ones. Today, the Central Government is trying to hide the facts by avoiding investigation. Sisodia also claimed that the Centre was responsible for the mismanagement of medical oxygen in April and May and whether it was intentional or at fault is a matter of investigation. The Centre has to admit that it is responsible for the oxygen crisis.''
