Mumbai: A shocking incident has been reported recently in Maharashtra in which a Pune businessman was called threateningly using Ajit Pawar's phone number in which the other man called and said, 'I am deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar's PA speaking, send Rs 20 lakh...' The same Goyal Ganga Group owner of Pune received the threatening call on January 13. In fact, the criminals had made a spoof call from Ajit Pawar's phone number.

The owner of the same Goyal Ganga Group had complained to the Bundgordon police in connection with the incident demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh. Police have registered a case against 6 persons and arrested them. The arrested criminals took Rs 2 lakh from the ransom amount and were caught at the same time. However, police are investigating who is involved in the entire gang.

According to police, the criminal downloaded the fake call app from the Play Store. Then, called the businessman using Ajit Pawar's phone number. The businessman was shocked to see Ajit Pawar's number. However, when the merchant became suspicious, he put it in the caller ID and searched for the number.
