But the tradition of celebrating this festival of the deities in the form of Deepawali i.e. in the name of Dev Diwali is very old in Nyari Kashi from all three worlds. A festival like lighting only a lamp for the deities has taken the form of a folk festival and folk tradition in Kashi. This practice, which started from 1985 in Kashi's Panchganga Ghat, is known to everyone today and now not only all committees but also at the government-administration level, actively participate in it.

This time on the evening of 7th November, all the crescent-shaped 84 Ganga Ghats of Kashi and 10 lakh earthen lamps will be decorated beyond it. To become a witness to this supernatural shade, tourists will come not only from the locals but also from the country and the world in the figures of lakhs. Regarding Dev Deepawali, Varanasi and Vindhyachal Mandal Deputy Director Tourism Preeti Srivastava said that in a span of two years, very few people were able to come out. So tourists are coming to Varanasi in huge numbers and after the construction of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, there is a big opportunity. For which preparations are being made on a large scale. 10 lakh lamps will be lit at Ganga Ghats. There will be many cultural programs and for the first time, a 3D projection mapping show has been brought in Kashi by the tourism department. Which will be at Chet Singh Ghat. The story of Ganga descent will be shown in this and the laser show will also be held with Shiva Stuti. Apart from this, a choreographed firecracker show will be held across the Ganga gate of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor through green firecrackers.
