Users saw the romantic pictures of Devoleena and Vishal and assumed that they were actually engaged. Fans had also started congratulating, but when the matter appeared to be out of hand, the actress explained the truth and clarified that nothing of the sort has actually happened. This was just a way for both of them to promote music videos. However, Devoleena and Vishal also had to listen to a lot of people's cries for this.

In her interview, Devoleena said, "I laughed seeing people's reaction like this and thought how easily they accepted that Vishal and I got engaged. Vishal has been my best friend since the time of Saathiya and that's all. The world knows. We haven't got engaged. He has been my close friend and people should know that I was doing all this to promote my music video. I was shocked and surprised. It happened that so many people congratulated me and they assumed that I was engaged. Even how many friends messaged me and congratulated me. How can one guess?" Devoleena further said that social media is full of such fake news, so people should understand that we can also do this. After Devoleena's statement, it became clear that she is not engaged yet.
