Thiruvananthapuram: The famous Padmanabha Swamy temple is to be opened for devotees from August 26. Devotees who will come to worship will have to follow the rules amidst the pandemic. Devotees will have to book a day online from the website of the temple a day before for worshipping. The booking details will require Aadhar card and 1 copy of online booking and these must be brought along at the time of worship.

Devotees coming for the darshan will have to wear face masks and wash their hands thoroughly with soap and follow the rules of physical distancing. The temples were closed since March 21 due to the rise of Corona infection. In view of the opening of different temples for the devotees, the management committee of the temple has decided to give permission to the devotees to visit with some conditions.

In a release issued by the temple, it has been said that from 8 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to around 7 pm, the worship will be allowed. Executive Officer V Ratishan has further told in this regard that only 35 devotees at one time and most 665 people in a day are going to get permission to go inside the temple.
