New Delhi: On the incident of urination in the Air India flight, a big action has been taken against the airline today i.e. on Friday. DGCA has imposed a fine of Rs 30 lakh on Air India for violating civil aviation rules. Along with this, the license of the pilot-in-command has also been suspended for three months.
According to the report, this action has been taken on the pilot for failing to perform his duty under Rule 141 of the Aircraft Rules 1937 and the Civil Aviation Rules of the applicable DGCA. Along with this, a fine of Rs 3 lakh has been imposed on the director of Air India's flight services. Let us tell you that, in the case, the victim woman had accused Air India of not taking timely action and getting a settlement, after which the DGCA issued a show cause notice to Air India and sought a reply.
After this DGCA has asked Air India why action should not be taken against you. You have not fulfilled your obligation properly, but still considering the judicial process, you will be given two weeks to respond. Further action will be taken on the basis of that only.
