The condition of coronavirus has stopped all activities of the film business. Now the entire module is being used again. In most countries, the lockdown has brought about uncertainty as to when the theaters will open safely and then whether the audience will not have any trouble going to the hall but still the virus has been continuously increasing for several days. Many producers are now opting for OTT release and recently in Tamil 'Ponmagal Vandhal' starring Jyothika and produced by Suriya and Keerthy Suresh's 'Penguin' produced by Karthik Subbaraj were streamed directly on Amazon Prime Video to lukewarm response
Meanwhile, Dhanush's upcoming film 'Jagame Thanthiram', directed by Karthik Subbaraj, has been made an excellent offer for direct release on Netflix, according to media reports. Producers Y Not Studios have been reluctant to take the deal into consideration as to whether Dhanush will approve as he wants his fans to enjoy the film in theaters first.
The big buzz now is that Dhanush has considered it more from a producer's point of view and since the interests for the investments is mounting day by day has decided to allow the release of 'Jagame Thanthiram' on OTT. It is said that he has conveyed his feelings in favor of the producer and the move has begun. The good news is that the fans can catch their idol film on Netflix very soon, instead of waiting indefinitely for a theatrical festival. 'Jagame Thanthiram' has music by Santhosh Narayanan and features a cast of Dhanush, Aishwarya Laxmi, Kalayarasan, Sanchana Natarajan, Joju George and James Baro.
