Dhanush starrar 'Asuran', co-star Nitish Veera's death

The Tamil film industry mourned the loss of Nitish Veera on Monday, who died of the novel coronavirus at a private hospital in Chennai. Nitish, who played pivotal roles in Rajinikanth's Kaala and Dhanush's Asuran, had tested Covid positive a few days ago and was being treated at the hospital. On May 17, he succumbed to Covid-19 and breathed his last. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

DHANUSH PENS A HEARTFELT NOTE ON BROTHER NITISH'S DEATH
On Monday, Dhanush, who worked with Nitish Veera in Asuran and Pudhupettai, took to Twitter to write an emotional note on Nitish's death. Calling him his brother, Dhanush wrote, "This is disheartening. Rest in peace my brother (sic)."

NITISH VEERA DIED OF COVID-19
Nitish Veera, who had been a part of films like Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Sindhanai Sei, Peranbu and Raatchasi died of Covid-19 at a private hospital in Chennai. He was 45. The Tamil film fraternity woke up to the news of his death on Monday and celebrities like Krishna, Vishnu Vishal and Selvaraghavan offered condolences to the family.

Nitish Veera will be seen next in Laabam, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan. It is directed by late SP Jananathan.
