Hyderabad (Telangana): A protest was organized on January 8, 2021 at LB Nagar Cross Road, Hyderabad on behalf of the Sri Yuga Tulsi Foundation demanding the slaughter of cows and national animals. Calling on people to show reverence for cows in the TTD board member and president of the Foundation for countless basil K. Shivakumar.

In this regard, the spiritual teacher U.S. Chandraswamy pointed out the importance of cows. He said that today there is a plight of cows in the society. The new generation ignorantly considers cows as a burden, torturing cows without milk. Whereas, cows all over the world have always supported humanity. Instead, instead of protecting the cows, Gautama is being slaughtered. According to Chandraswamy, the cow has the status of mother in Vedic culture. In fact, the attachment and relationship of cows to humanity is similar to that of mother and son. The religious activities of cows do not contain anything harmful to humans. According to Chandraswamy, in Sanskrit the word is 'dharanam', meaning to acknowledge or cooperate. The term is used for cows in Vedic verses. In fact, cows have not only humanity, but also all the vital pastures. Cow dung and urine are also very good for people.

Spiritual guru Chandraswamy said that grains harvested from cow dung have special properties. We cannot expect a developed, peaceful and fulfilled life without the kindness of a cow mother. Without cows, we would be out of good health and mental peace.

The saints once again adopted Vedic culture and needed a world campaign on the importance of cows. The tendency of mankind is against the protection of cows. So the saints of Hyderabad and Telangana started a systematic movement for cow protection. They are demanding that the Government of India enact a law giving national status to the cow mother
