New Delhi: Shikhar Dhawan, a left-handed opening batsman who has been sidelined from the Indian side for a while, is likely to be given a significant task. Dhawan will serve as the Indian men's team captain during the Asian Games, which China will host from 23 September to 8 October. This time, the BCCI has already stated that both the men's and women's teams will compete in the cricket competition at the Asian Games.

India will begin hosting the ICC ODI World Cup on October 5. As a result, Team India's star players would be preoccupied during this major competition. Asian Games B squad will be sent by BCCI in 2023.

There will go the primary women's cricket squad. The Asian Games' cricket competition is set up in a T20 style. The Indian Olympic Association will receive a list of players from the BCCI on June 30 so they may choose who to include in their team for the Asian Games.
