Dhinakaran condemned CM Palanisamy over special service for MLAs amidst statewide bus strike

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], Jan 8 (NT): On Monday The tangential All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) conveyor and newly-elected MLA in the Tamil Nadu Secretariat, TTV Dhinakaran condemned Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy over information of special buses being approved for the MLAs amidst the continuing bus strike in the state.

"It clearly shows that the chief minister is only worried about the number of MLAs. He does not think about the state or the people," Dhinakaran stated to reporters here.

The transport unions in Tamil Nadu called an unclear strike on Thursday, demanding pay plod among other things.

Since the strike got its fifth day today, reports making buzzes that special buses were approved for the MLAs.

Transport workers have been demanded for a pay revision to Rs 30,000 though, the authorities are only ready to pay Rs 24,400.

Following the breakdown of meeting on wage revision and green light of pending dues with Tamil Nadu Transport Minister MR Vijayabaskar, the strike was affirmed much to the hassle of commuters.

On Sunday, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) working president MK Stalin pushed for Chief Minister Palanisamy to set off talks with transport employees and take proper actions to stop the ongoing strike in the state. (NT)
