Famous Bengali Filmmaker Raja Chanda is well-liked by the audience for his brilliant direction and great films. He directed a huge number of Bengali films and many ad films as well. Earlier, in the year 2019, Raja Chanda came with a film named 'Kidnap' which revolves around a journalist who got kidnapped.  the film ‘Kidnap’ deals with the serious issue of human trafficking in South Asia. This film released on June 5, 2019. However, few people know that this romantic thriller had a different title initially. 

Earlier, Dev-Rukmini Maitra starrer this film was titled ‘Saudaa’. The story of this thriller revolves around the kidnapping of the Journalist Meghna played by Rukmini Maitra. Despite being a common man, Dev takes the law in his hands to uncover the human-trafficking racket and embark on a rescue mission as the girl is none other than his beloved.

The action sequences in the film ‘Kidnap’ were worth watching and were conceived by director Raja Chanda. This film features the pair of Rukmini Maitra with the Tolly heartthrob Dev again after ‘Kabir’. Apart from Rukmini and Dev, the film 'Kidnap' also stars actors like Chandan Sen, Ashim Roy Chowdhary, Prantik Banerjee etc.
