Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader from Muzaffarnagar district, Arshad Rana, has accused the party of grabbing Rs 67 lakh in the name of ticket amidst the rising political heat of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Arshad Rana has leveled this allegation on Shamsuddin Raine, in-charge of West Uttar Pradesh of his own party. He has also complained in this regard to Muzaffarnagar Police. Now a video of Arshad Rana crying bitterly is going viral on social media.

According to the information, the viral video is from Kotwali Nagar in Muzaffarnagar district. Describing himself as a victim, Arshad Rana started crying bitterly in front of Inspector Anand Dev. In the viral video, he is saying that, 'They made me a spectacle. I had never even thought so. They make me sit inside and say that we are getting someone else to contest elections in your place. Whereas, I am doing all the ad hoardings. Even after that these people are doing this to me. In the video, police officers are asking them not to get upset. Arshad Rana has also posted a YouTube video on his Facebook account. In this video he claims that accused Shamsuddin Raine is announcing his name as the in-charge of the Legislative Assembly.

Arshad Rana says that, 'In December 2018, I was assured by BSP's West Uttar Pradesh in-charge Shamshuddin Raine to make a candidate from Charthawal assembly seat. In return, I was asked for some money, for which I agreed. After this, in the presence of several office bearers at the party office in Muzaffarnagar this month, I was also declared a candidate to contest the 2022 assembly elections. Different party people duped me Rs 67 lakh at different times. Even after this, Salman Saeed was declared the candidate from Charthawal Assembly seat.
