New Delhi: Congress leader Digvijay Singh made such a statement regarding the Pulwama attack and the surgical strike during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which has created an uproar. The BJP attacked Digvijay Singh and Congress over this statement. On the other hand, former Army Chief General VP Malik has also raised questions about Digvijay Singh's statement. Seeing a growing controversy, Congress distanced itself from Digvijay Singh's statement and termed it as his personal opinion.

In fact, on Tuesday, Congress leader Digvijay Singh raised questions about the surgical strike. He had said that 40 of our CRPF soldiers were martyred in Pulwama. CRPF officers had requested Prime Minister Modi to airlift all the soldiers, but Prime Minister Modi did not agree. How did such a mistake happen? He said, to date, no report has been placed before the Parliament on Pulwama. He claimed that a surgical strike was done, but did not show proof. They (BJP) only spread lies.

Digvijay Singh had said, from where did the terrorist get 300 kg RDX in the Pulwama accident? Devendra Singh DSP was caught with terrorists but then why was he released? We also want to know about the friendship relations between the PMs of Pakistan and India. Former Army Chief General VP Malik tweeted, saying, "It is sad to see some politicians constantly being criminalized on India's security issues." These people are repeatedly questioning the successful operations of our own armed forces. Congress leader Digvijay Singh is completely surrounded by questioning the surgical strike. Now Congress has also distanced itself from his statement. Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said- Digvijay Singh's remarks are his 'personal views' and have not been supported by the party. The surgical strike was done before 2014 by the UPA government. Military actions that are in the national interest, have been supported by all and will continue to do so.
