Will BJP change CM in Madhya Pradesh too? Digvijay Singh's statements create political turmoil

Bhopal: Veteran Congress leader and former CM Digvijay Singh is fuelling speculation of a CM change in Madhya Pradesh. He said on Monday that only two candidates are now in the race for chief minister in the BJP in the state. Union minister Prahlad Patel is a candidate on behalf of PM Narendra Modi while RSS wants to hand over the CM chair to state president VD Sharma.

State Home Minister Narottam Mishra has hit back at Digvijay Singh's statement. The Minister said Digvijay Singh should first decide whether Kamal Nath will hold two posts or not. He is yet to become the national president of the Congress. The work is being carried out by the Executive Chairman. Digvijay Singh should take note of it.  Narottam Mishra said, "We know who they are telling all this at whose behest. We will tell you this when they release the name."

Digvijay's statements have created a stir in the BJP. He had said on social media on Sunday that "There are many contenders to become chief ministers in Madhya Pradesh BJP. I will give this list tomorrow (Monday)." However, when asked about Digvijay's statement, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan remained silent for a few seconds. Then he said, "Does digvijay's remarks need to be said?"
