New Delhi: Team India defeated Australia by 6 wickets in the second T20 match played in Nagpur and equalized 1-1 in the three-match series. The Kangaroos won the first T20 by 4 wickets. The rain interrupted the second one and the second T20 was just 8-8 overs and in this match too, the audience got to see Dinesh Karthik's finishing touch. Karthik played just two balls, but robbed applause and reminded everyone once again why he is called the best finisher of the current team.

Chasing a target of 91 runs in 8 overs, Karthik got a chance to bat when Hardik Pandya was dismissed on the fifth ball of the 7th over. This time in the team management, it was decided to send Dinesh Karthik above Rishabh Pant and Akshar Patel. Rohit Sharma hit a four off the last ball of the 7th over to turn the contest in India's favour. Dinesh Karthik then gave a finishing touch, hitting the first slower ball of Daniel Sams' final over for a six towards backward square leg and off the very next ball he hit it towards deep mid-wicket for a boundary. Karthik scored 10 runs off just 2 balls to make the team victorious. Captain Rohit Sharma, who was unbeaten on 46 at the other end, was also very happy with Karthik's batting.

Captain Aaron Finch (31) and Matthew Wade (43) played a great inning for the Australian team after losing the toss and took the team to a score of 90 in 8 overs. Chasing this score, Rohit Sharma gave Team India a smoky start, scoring an unbeaten 46 off 20 balls with the help of 4 fours and as many sixes. Rohit was given the Man of the Match award due to this important innings. The third and final match of the series will be played in Hyderabad on September 25.
