Suraj, the film's director, has been taken to a private hospital here for the same reason as actor Vadivelu, who tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago. Suraj, along with a few other prominent man of the 'Naai Sekar Returns' film crew, had joined Vadivelu to London. Santhosh Narayanan, the music director, was among the others.

The group was in London to compose music for the much-anticipated film, which will see Vadivelu return to the big screen. Vadivelu was scanned at Chennai airport after the team returned from London, and he tested positive for the virus. The actor's doctors stated he was stable and recovering well.

Following the news that both the director and the principal actor in the film tested positive for Covid-19, all members of the crew that followed them to London have now been isolated.
