You can get a discount of 2% in GST soon after paying with mobile wallets like Debit Card, Credit Card or PayTm. According to the exhaustive information received from a news agency, this decision can be taken at the next meeting of the GST Council. 

According to information received from sources, you can find 2 percent discount for GST on digital payments. One transaction can be as a discount of a maximum of 100 rupees.

Customers will get discounts and this discount will be given to the customer only. Wholesaler, retailers will not get this discount. At next meeting, further will be decided. Additional expenses come to the Center and the state government will bear. This decision can be done at the next meeting of the GST Council. 

The last meeting was on the agenda this proposal. According to sources this proposal on the agenda of the meeting was the GST Council on November 10, while the lack of it has not been decided on. 

"Transactions of up to Rs 2,000 are very high in volumes and if an incentive can be given here, it will provide an impetus to digital payments while facilitating the entry of more people within the formal economy. This will help plug leakages while playing a credible part in countering the development of black money," The Time of India quoted the source as saying.
