Chennai: DMK general secretary Durai Murugan has given objectionable statements about medical students. He said that if students cannot pay Rs 40,000 as medical college fees, then how can they become doctors?
Let us tell you that recently the DMK announced that the students of government school who will join the private party will bear some of their fees under the 7.5% reservation category by the government. However, when a journalist asked Durai Murugan if the DMK government would pay Rs 40,000 for the students studying in medical colleges, he said that if they cannot pay that much money, then how can they become doctors.
Let us tell you that there is a ruckus in Tamil Nadu regarding 7.5 percent reservation for children of government schools in medical colleges. There is a continuous demand from the Governor to approve this bill. At the moment, it remains an issue between the ruling AIADMK and the opposition party DMK.
