The drug addiction in the film industry has come to light after the investigation of drugs angle linked to the investigation into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The media has now accessed WhatsApp chats of the first five Bollywood A-listers with the initials D, K, N, J, S, which can help the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to address drug cartels operating in the film industry. Two Bollywood celebrities along with N and J talked about the purchase of hash and banned drug MDMA.

In another WhatsApp exchanges, J says, “Hello, I’m sending the CBD oil with Jinal today.” Replying to J, S says, “Thank you.”

Bollywood A-listers whose names appeared in these chats are under NCB scanners and are likely to be summoned by the anti-drugs agency in the near future. N and S are reportedly the top female performers along with beginners. In another chat dated 2017, D asks K, "... you have." For which, K says “I am at home. I am in Bandra ... "K continues," If you want, I can ask Amit. "D replies," Yes !! Please. " Amit has it, he is taking it, "K replied to D," Hash no weed. "

According to NCB sources, D is the initial actress Deepika Padukone. The actress will be called by the anti-drugs agency this week. NCB will investigate Bollywood drugs nexus. The NCB, one of the three central agencies investigating various angles in the case of Sushant's death, investigated the drugs after receiving details about Rhea's involvement in the drugs nexus. The investigating agency has so far arrested 18 people, including Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Rajput manager Samuel Miranda and domestic help Dipesh Sawant. Rhea, who is currently lodged in Mumbai's Byculla Jail, is accused of purchasing drugs for Rajput. He was arrested on 9 September. The NCB has stated that the 28-year-old was an "active member" of a drug syndicate and used to buy drugs for Rajput.
