At the same time, before this, he had elected the post of MLC on behalf of TDP. With this, after resigning from the post, he had established his position in the election towards YSR Congress Party. Let us tell you that in the past, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had told him that 'if he resigns from MLC post on behalf of TDP, he will give an opportunity to contest on YSRCP ticket'.

After hearing this, Dokka resigned from the post. At the same time, on Tuesday he took the oath of office and secrecy after winning the election of MLC uncontested by YSR Congress Party.MLAs Ambati Rambabu and Janga Krishnamurthy were also present there with them. After the swearing in, MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad also thanked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. During this, he said that, 'While being MLC on behalf of TDP, there was not even a single day presence in the Legislative Council. We should respect the Legislative Council. It was painful to create problems with the government through the Legislative Council.

With this, let us also tell you that he made it clear that this was the reason behind his resignation. Actually, the Legislative Council is meant to advise the Government and they alleged that some people were given wrong opinions to the Chairman of the Council.
