Washington: US President Donald Trump has declared Emergency at the request of Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Now, efforts are being made to provide relief to the victims in the devastation caused by the horrific flood in Michigan amidst the corona virus epidemic. Due to the failure of two dams, there has been a severe flood in Michigan on Tuesday.

The floods inundated many of the banks of the river, about 120 miles (193 km) northwest of Detroit, and nearly 11,000 residents were forced to leave their homes and move to safer places. A chemical plant was also hit by the sharp edge of water. It is being told that there was also a containment pond in this chemical plant, in which many chemicals were dissolved. Due to this, the superfund toxic cleanup site at the bottom got washed away in the flood water.

The company's official statement said that there is no threat to the residents or environment from the brine solution in the pond. No products were released from this factory. Due to heavy rains in the Titabasi river, the flood waters reached historical levels, mud was created in many places, and landslides also occurred in some places. However, till now no news of anyone's death has been revealed in this catastrophe.
