WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump has once again made a big statement on the Kashmir issue. Trump has once again said that he is ready to mediate between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir issue. Trump said accepting the offer of mediation is now entirely up to PM Narendra Modi. Trump has said that both PM Modi and Imran Khan are very good people and have spoken openly to both of them on the Kashmir issue.

"I think Imran Khan and PM Modi are both the best men," Trump said. I think they could come along quite well, but if they wanted someone to intervene to help them and I spoke to Pakistan about it and I spoke openly about it with India. If I want, I'll definitely mediate.'

The Indian External Affairs Ministry had flatly rejected US President Donald Trump's claim that PM Modi had sought his help on the Kashmir issue. The External Affairs Ministry reacted to Trump's statement saying there was no such request made by PM Modi.
