BEIJING: Symbols associated with Islam are being abruptly removed, and the administrations are working everywhere to remove the arabic-language words and symbols of the Islam community, from the Halal restaurant to the food stall.
According to the Reuters agency, authorities have ordered employees of restaurants and shops in Beijing to remove all photographs of Islam, such as the word halal written in moon, Arabic, from the board. The manager of a shop for noodles in Beijing has been asked by government employees to cover the halal word written at the shop and stand there till that happens.
The manager here, he said, is a foreign culture and you should give more and more preference to Chinese civilization. Since 2016, campaigns against the use of Arabic language and Islamic images have been going on in China. China wants all religions of its state to be in line with China's mainstream culture, and the Middle-Eastern-style mosque domes are being demolished and converted into Chinese-style pagodas as part of the campaign against Islamization.
