We all know that Gowardhan Puja is done on the very next day of Deepawali.It is believed that cow is the form of Goddess Lakshmi. Lord Krishna worshiped Giriraj on this day.

- Cows are bathed in the morning and worshiped with flowers, garlands, incense, sandalwood, etc. Govardhan is made from cow dung.

-After the pooja, seven revolutions of Govardhanji are done,

- Govardhanji is made of cow dung. A bowl or earthen lamp is placed in place of their navel. Then milk, curd, gangajal, honey, betashe etc. offfered and distributed as Prasad.

What to do in Govardhanpuja?

- Perform Govardhan Puja in auspicious time with complete rituals. It would be better to take help of a Pandit in worship.

- Make Govardhan Parvat outside the house. Then worship.

Keep these things in mind in Goverdhan Pooja?

- Do not organize Govardhan Puja and Annakoot in a closed room.

Do not forget to worship Ishtadeva or Lord Krishna while worshiping cows.

- Do not see the moon on this day.
