Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has been cremated with full state honours at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Bhai Hridaynath Mangeshkar has paid tribute to her body. With this, an era of music has passed away. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi reached Shivaji Park and paid his last tribute to Lata 'Didi'. Meanwhile, all the celebrities of the country including politics, sports, entertainment world have paid tribute to 'Malika of Music'. Shahrukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Anjali Tendulkar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra have also paid tributes. Thousands of people had come to Shivaji Park for the last darshan of Lataji. Everyone bid farewell to 'Swara Nightingale' with moist eyes. Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar has also been given the Guard of Honor along with the salute of the three services.

Prior to which Mangeshkar's body was brought to Shivaji Park in an army truck from her home Prabha Kunj. The body was accompanied by the body in the flower-clad truck along with some of her family members, including Lata Mangeshkar's sister and legendary singer Asha Bhosle. The truck, which is guarded by the Army and police jeeps, will pass through Haji Ali Junction, Worli Naka, Poddar Hospital Chowk, Old Passport Office, Siddhivinayak Temple, Cadal Road and later reach Shivaji Park in Dadar. A two-day state mourning has also been declared on February 6 and 7 on the passing away of Swar Kokila Lata 'Didi'. On Sunday and Monday, the national flag is going to be half-masted across India.

At Shivaji Park in the Dadar area, Modi paid floral tributes to Mangeshkar and also paid homage to the body. He also met the Members of the Mangeshkar family and consoled them. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Valse Patil, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, NATIONALIST Congress Party President Sharad Pawar, State Ministers Chhagan Bhujbal, Subhash Desai, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, renowned cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, lyricist Javed Akhtar, movie producer Ashutosh Gowariker, Madhur Bhandarkar, Singer Anuradha Paudwal, Mika Singh, Kailash Kher also paid tributes to Mangeshkar at Shivaji Park.
