She is an individual fashion designer who is finding a way to make it big.  She has a hinderance in the form of a shallow boyfriend who eventually cheats on her She find a director for a life-changing project.

These two ladies find themselves in the washroom, bawling. Just as they exchange their life stories, it occurs to Saira that she could give a complete stranger the opportunity to direct her project while Rajshri could prove a point to the owner of the channel that rejected her. How they deals with these issues  is the story is about.

Story Review

The movie deals with very sensitive issue Body shaming and it is not a joke. It is something that is not only disturbing but also has seeped into our society with the worry that it has seemingly become 'normal' to crack fat jokes or call someone names based on their size. The filmmaker wants to encourage women to embrace their bodies irrespective of the size, frame, and to self-love to free themselves from the shackles of social stigma. But Unfortunately, this task feels half-baked and a bit of a misfire in the attempt to give the film a tone of commercial acceptance. The idea of body shaming underlines with punches, too many songs and jokes. Although the movie is watchable.

Double XL is helmed by Satramm Ramani. The filming now has wrapped up after a month-long schedule. It is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, under the banner of Wakaoo Films with the collaboration of T-Series. The comedy-drama questions bodyweight stereotypes that have long been plaguing our society, in the most humorous manner. The movie is all set to hit theatre screens on October 14, 2022.
