How is India dealing with corona? Dr Harsh Vardhan briefed BRICS countries

New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has said that India is effectively dealing with coronavirus. He said on Wednesday that India's decentralized but integrated mechanism, universal, accessible, equitable and affordable healthcare has contributed to tackling the corona. Dr Harsh Vardhan was making a statement at the Conference of Health Ministers of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) countries on Wednesday. He said India's approach to dealing with corona cases was predefined, active and graded.

Dr Harsh Vardhan spoke about all the steps taken to deal with the corona in India. He said India had soon started screening to deal with corona cases, arranged for isolation of passengers, created a management zone to burden the health system and health workers. At the same time, people were made aware of it. Many avenues were also opened at the economy level.

Harsh Vardhan said that when the Centre stepped up the movement to combat corona infections with constant monitoring and evaluation, there was support from the states to deal with the crisis and the state governments concerned also streamlined their health infrastructure. The state governments adopted various unique strategies.
