DRDO builds 900-bed Covid Hospital in Ahmedabad, ready in just 8 days

Ahmedabad: DRDO has constructed a 900 bedded hospital in Ahmedabad with the help of Gujarat government in just eight days. From Saturday, patients suffering from corona will start enrolling in this hospital. This is the third Covid Hospital in the country of DRDO. Earlier, covid hospitals in DRDO have also started in the country's capital Delhi and Patna.

According to reports, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has set up a 'Dhanwantari Covid Hospital' at the Convention Centre of Gujarat University in Ahmedabad. Out of its total 900 beds, a ventilator facility is available on 150 beds. The remaining 750 beds also have oxygen arrangements. Home Minister Amit Shah and Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani will visit the Covid Hospital on Friday evening to inspect the system.

Let me tell you that with the help of army, paramilitary force, and state governments, DRDO is constructing a total of six covid hospitals across the country. Out of these, services have started in Delhi (450 beds) and Patna (500 beds). Work in Lucknow (450 beds) and Varanasi (750 beds) is also going on on a war footing.
