New Delhi: The Indian Army and the Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Thursday (September 8) successfully test-fired the Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM). Six missiles were launched from the Integrated Testing Range (ITR) at Chandipur in Odisha. During the firing of the missiles, it was seen whether they could hit the target coming at a high speed with accuracy or not.

A variety of situations were also created during testing. In which the enemy's air target comes at a fast pace. The QRSAM missile is fired to eliminate it. During this time, the survival and end of the target were reviewed by firing long-range medium altitude, short-range, high altitude manoeuvring targets, low radar signature, crossing targets and two missiles one after the other. This test of the missile was done in both day and night conditions.

The Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) satisfied all standards. Attacked the target with accuracy. During this time the warhead chain of the missile was also examined. After all the tests, it was proved that the Indian QRSAM system is excellent, deadly, fast and accurate. DRDO also tested telemetry, radar and electro-optical tracking system during the flight test. So that it can be known whether these systems are accurately tracking enemy missiles and aircraft. Testing revealed that all the systems were working well.
