Chandigarh: The body of Late Surendra Singh Bishnoi, DSP of Haryana Police was brought to his native village Sarangpur, Hisar on Thursday morning. Surendra Singh was buried according to the customs of the Bishnoi society. Many high officials of the district administration, including DGP Prashant Kumar Agrawal of Haryana Police and many Bishnoi community leaders were present. To salute the spirit of this brave officer of the Haryana Police, not only the people of Haryana but also the people of Rajasthan had reached.

Bishnoi's last rites were performed with full state honours. He was also given a salute. People also raised slogans of "Shaheed Surendra Singh Bishnoi Amar Rahe" at the funeral. At the same time, the Khattar government of the state has decided to give martyr status to Surendra Singh Bishnoi and a judicial inquiry is also being conducted into his murder case. Both the accused (Ikar and one other) involved in the murder of this police officer have been arrested. Let us inform you that Surendra Singh Bishnoi reached Tawadu on Tuesday to raid illegal mining. They tried to stop a truck involved in illegal mining, but the truck driver trampled him and fled. Surendra Singh died on the spot. He was due to retire after three months.
