Recently, the big news has come from a hospital in Dubai. A corona positive patient of Telangana has been forgiven a bill of Rs 1.52 crore in Indian currency. According to the information received, the hospital has discharged him for 80 days of treatment. Not a single rupee has been taken from him. According to E Chitti Babu, senior NRI cell official in the Telangana government, 42-year-old Odnala Rajesh, a resident of Venugumtala village in Golapalli Mandal in Jagitial district, arrived at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in the early hours of Wednesday.

Rajesh's wife Lakshmi works as a farmer on daily wages. Apart from this, they have a daughter named Monica and she is a student of B-Com. They have a son named Madhu. He is studying in 12th standard. It is reported that some years ago Odnala Rajesh went to Dubai to work. On April 23, he was admitted to a hospital in Dubai after complaining of fever and cough. He was tested for corona and his report came positive. After that, he was treated for 80 days and after treatment, he was discharged on Monday. Recently Chitti Babu said 'The hospital authorities handed over a bill of 7,62,555 dirhams (Rs 1.52 crores) to Rajesh, but he did not have the money to pay the bills.'

A local Telugu NRI appeared for Gundeli Narasimha Rajesh. Narasimha, president of the Gulf Workers Protection Society in Dubai, was monitoring Rajesh's health right from the beginning and he informed the matter to Sumant Reddy of the Indian Consulate in Dubai. After that Reddy along with another social activist Ashok Kotecha of BAPS Swaminarayan Trust requested Harjeet Singh of the Indian Consulate in Dubai to 'help the poor.' Singh wrote a letter to Dubai hospital management and asked them to waive off the bill. In response to his letter, the hospital management waived the patient's bill.
