USA: On May 2, Ducati will unveil the 2023 Monster SP in India. Recall that the bike manufacturer unveiled the track-oriented offering in September of last year.
The high-performance variant receives various mechanical and aesthetic improvements compared to the standard Monster model.
It competes with the 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS and is anticipated to cost around Rs. 16 lakh. What is superior?

The Ducati Monster SP has an oval-shaped LED headlamp, a wide handlebar, split-type seats, a "Termignoni" slip-on exhaust and a modern LED taillight. It is supported by an aluminium alloy monocoque frame.

The Kawasaki Z900RS has a trellis frame made of high-tensile steel, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a wide handlebar, circular mirrors, an upswept exhaust, a ribbed-pattern seat and a thin LED taillight.

The Ducati Monster SP has a kerb weight of 188kg, a 14-liter fuel tank, a 1,474mm wheelbase, and a seat height of 820mm. The Kawasaki Z900RS weighs 215kg, has a 1,470mm wheelbase, a 17-liter fuel tank, and a saddle height of 835mm.

The Ducati Monster SP and Kawasaki Z900RS have disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, as well as dual-channel ABS, traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, and riding modes, as far as safety features go.
Both streetfighter motorcycles have adjustable monoshock units at the back and inverted forks up front to handle the suspension work.

The 937cc, V-twin Testastretta engine that powers the Ducati Monster SP produces a maximum output of 111 horsepower at 9,250 revs per minute and a maximum torque of 93 Nm at 6,500 revs per minute.

The Kawasaki Z900RS has a 948cc, 4-cylinder, DOHC, 16-valve, liquid-cooled engine that produces 95Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm and 108hp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm.
Each bike has a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Kawasaki Z900RS costs Rs. 16.47 lakh in India, and the Ducati Monster SP is anticipated to be priced around Rs. 16 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) when it is introduced on May 2.

We think you should hold off until the Monster SP because it will have more aggressive styling, a monocoque chassis, a potent engine, and better brand value overall.
