The state government has made e-pass mandatory for those returning to Chhattisgarh from other states amid lockdown and corona crisis. Those coming without e-pass are being stopped at the border. Every day, about two-and-a-half thousand people are reaching the Chhattisgarh border from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand and are getting upset over not being allowed to enter.

For your information, let us tell you that these people had taken permission from their District Collector before starting the journey, but they are not being given entry in the state saying that they do not have an e-pass issued by the state government. They will also have to take e-pass from the collector of the district in which they want to go.

Regarding the matter, the state officials say that it is necessary to get permission from the state government to come to Chhattisgarh. At the same time, people stranded on the state border say that they had earlier applied for e-pass of Chhattisgarh but their request was rejected and no information was given in this regard. The same people said that after this they applied to the local district collector. After getting permission, he left for Chhattisgarh but was stopped at the border of his own state. However, according to sources, in view of the infection situation in the neighboring states, the state government has given an unannounced order to the collectors not to enter the border of Chhattisgarh in any case.
