External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar engaged with members of the German parliament in Berlin on Wednesday. He expressed appreciation for their support in strengthening India-Germany relations.

In a social media post, Jaishankar shared, “Pleased to interact with members of the German parliament in Berlin. Appreciated their insights on contemporary global issues. Value their support for stronger India-Germany relations.”

During his visit, Jaishankar also participated in a debate organized by the Munich Security Conference, where he met with foreign affairs and security policy experts. He highlighted the dynamic discussion on global order changes, multipolarity, security challenges, and strategic alignments between India and Germany.

In another meeting on Tuesday, Jaishankar met Michael Roth, MP and Chairperson of the Deutscher Bundestag Committee on Foreign Affairs. They discussed global challenges and potential new collaborations between India and Germany.

Jaishankar noted, “Glad to meet Mr. Michael Roth, MP and Chairman of the Deutscher Bundestag Committee on Foreign Affairs. Shared views on current global challenges and possibilities of new collaborations between India and Germany.”

Earlier in his trip, Jaishankar met German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Berlin, where they exchanged views on issues including Ukraine, Gaza, and the Indo-Pacific region. Jaishankar looked forward to Baerbock’s visit to India for the 7th Intergovernmental Consultations.

He remarked, “Held wide-ranging discussions with FM @ABaerbock in Berlin today. Took stock of India-Germany Strategic Partnership, focusing on trade, investment, green development, skilled workers' mobility, technology, and security. Exchanged views on Ukraine, Gaza, and the Indo-Pacific region. Look forward to welcoming her to India for the 7th Intergovernmental Consultations.”
