EAM Jaishankar Unveils Gandhi's Statue in Paraguay

ASUNCION:  Minister Of Foreign Affairs Dr. S. Jaishankar, on his first official tour to South America, unveiled a bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Paraguay on Sunday and praised the Asuncion Municipality for locating it on the city's famed shoreline.

On the first phase of his six-day trip to South America, Jaishankar arrived in Brazil with the intention of strengthening bilateral ties with the continent generally. On his first-ever official trip to South America, Jaishankar is also visiting Paraguay via Argentina.
