'Liquor scam money spent in Goa elections', one more arrested

New Delhi: In Delhi's famous liquor scam, the noose of the investigating agencies is continuously being tightened. The accused are being arrested one after the other. In this episode, today i.e. on Thursday (February 9), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested the owner of an advertising company. According to the ED, the bribe money found in the liquor scam had reached them. Let us tell you that a day before this, the CBI had arrested the former CA of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter. 

The Delhi government is accused of taking a bribe of Rs 100 crore by benefiting private companies in the excise policy made for 2021-22. Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is also an accused in the case registered by CBI and ED. Now ED has arrested Rajesh Joshi, owner of Chariot Production Media Pvt Ltd in this case. It is alleged that the bribe money received in the liquor scam came to Joshi to be spent in the Goa assembly elections. Let us tell you that in the supplementary charge sheet filed by ED recently, the agency has claimed that the money received from the liquor scam was used by AAP in the Goa assembly elections as well.

As per reports, Rajesh Joshi allegedly took Rs 30 crore from a liquor scam accused Dinesh Arora for campaigning in the Goa assembly elections through his advertising company. Dinesh Arora was working with 'AAP' leader Vijay Nair. The ED has found in its investigation that the Rs 30 crore received by Joshi was illegal money earned from the liquor scam. ED has so far filed 2 charge sheets in this case and has arrested 8 people including Rajesh Joshi.
