The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided a total of 21 locations and arrested 18 people involved in land business, including IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan and Zonal Officer Manoj Kumar, in the case of misappropriation of government land. The names of 18 locations in Jharkhand, one in Bihar, and two in West Bengal have also been included in the scope of the raids. Chhavi Ranjan is currently also posted as Director of Social Welfare. Amidst the raid, ED interrogated Chhavi Ranjan at his residence. He was released at 8 p.m. Now ED is going to call him and interrogate him.

CO, CI, and land brokers brought to ED office: In the course of the raid, all land brokers, including CO Manoj Kumar and CI Bhanu, are going to be taken to the ED office for questioning. Everyone is being questioned face-to-face in connection with making and selling fake land documents. The CI has been asked how and why he kept other important government documents from the Zonal Office, including Register-To, in his house. The Zonal Officer has also been asked how the CI can get permission to take the official documents home.

Amidst the raids, the seal-stamp' of the officers used in preparing fake land documents and verifying the related reports has also been found at the places of land traders. Other types of government documents, including sale deeds of land in large quantities, have also been found in CI Bhanu Pratap's house. Possible questions asked by ED in the matter of land and his written answers have been found on Chhavi Ranjan's mobile.

It has been prepared after the ED raids at the premises of Vishnu Agarwal and others during the first phase of the land embezzlement investigation. In view of the documents found in the raid, it is being speculated that the land of the common people has been sold by forgery by the land traders with the help of the officers.
