NEW DELHI: In another development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) executed search operations at the residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kulwant Singh in Punjab on Monday, as part of its ongoing investigation into the liquor scam that has affected both Delhi and Punjab. According to sources , the raids are currently underway in Mohali.

The federal investigative agency, accompanied by central paramilitary forces personnel, is conducting searches at various locations in Mohali, Amritsar, and Ludhiana. Notably, the properties associated with 61-year-old AAP MLA Kulwant Singh from SAS Nagar are also included in the search operation.

Furthermore, the ED has summoned the AAP convenor and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, for questioning in connection with the ongoing probe into the Delhi excise policy case. Kejriwal had previously been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in April this year in connection with the same case.

In addition, the highest court has directed that the trial should be expedited, aiming to conclude it within six to eight months. If the legal process faces delays, the AAP leader will have the opportunity to reapply for bail within three months.
