The Enforcement Directorate (ED) visited Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan's office in Ottapalam, Palakkad district, on Tuesday to pinpoint the source of funding for his recent film, "Meppadiyan." The raid, which began in the forenoon and is anticipated to end soon, was carried out by officials from the probe agency's Kochi and Kozhikode offices.

According to sources, the raid was carried out to determine the source of money for his current film, 'Meppadiyan,' which he also produced and stars in. In 2011, the 34-year-old actor made his acting debut in a Tamil film, after which he starred in a Malayalam film. He has appeared in over three dozen films in the last ten years.

In the meanwhile, he created his own production company, and the raid is currently underway to uncover the sources of funds. Recently, the Kerala unit of the ED has started focusing on cinema stars, particularly those from the younger generation.
