New Delhi: Action could be taken against National Congress General Priyanka Gandhi for selling a painting made by renowned painter MF Hussain to Yes Bank co-founder Rana Kapoor. On giving information, a senior official of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigating the case has said that the matter is of criminal action and will be investigated.

According to sources, Priyanka Gandhi can also be questioned in this case. Rana Kapoor is currently in ED custody. He is being questioned in cases related to Yes Bank scam. According to a senior ED official, Rana had paid Rs 2 crore to Priyanka Gandhi, which she received from the bank shortly before. In this way this case became part of our investigation. Action can be taken against both buyer and seller under section 3 of PMLA Act.
