Patna: Good news for students studying in Bihar Board. In fact, the Education Department of the Government of Bihar has released Rs. 423 crore for the most backward class and backward class students who passed matriculation from first category in the current financial year 2021-22. This amount has been allowed thrice by the Department of Backward Classes and Most Backward Classes Welfare. 10,000/- will be given to the students in lump sum as scholarship.

The same information was given by Arshad Feroz, deputy secretary, department of education, to the accountant general while releasing the money on Tuesday. More importantly, the scholarship amount released by the government will help poor children in their studies and motivate students to enroll in higher education.

These students will get benefits:-
Let me tell you that a total of Rs. 249 crore 14 lakh 60 thousand has been released under the CM Extremely Backward Classes Merit Scheme. 10,000/- per student will be given to the most backward class students. A total of 174 crore 87 lakh 90 thousand rupees have been released under the Backward Classes Scheme. 10,000-10,000/- per backward class student. It may be noted that this scholarship amount will be available only to students whose parents' annual income is less than 1.5 lakh.
