New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sushil Chandra has informed about the poll preparedness that all voters should know everything about the candidates. Political parties will have to convey the information of candidates to voters through newspapers, televisions and websites. The Election Commission has started preparations for the assembly elections in five states early next year.

The Election Commission is going to all the electoral states and conducting reviews. Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra and Commissioners Rajiv Kumar and Anup Chandra have arrived in Goa on a two-day visit. Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra has informed here that "voters should get full information about the candidate. Political parties will have to tell newspapers, TV and websites whether their candidate has a criminal record or not, if so, political parties should also give voters the reason why a candidate with a criminal record is being selected instead of a candidate with a clear image.''

CEC Chandra further said that strict vigil will be maintained on the border areas of the state. Not only this, but all banks have also been directed to report any transaction immediately if it is found suspicious.
